CC1200EMK-868-930: Propagation experiments with CC1200

Part Number: CC1200EMK-868-930
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1200

Hello everybody,

I´m quiete new on this field. So please correct me if i am asking stupid thinks :)

I have a CC1200EM 868-930 board which is pluged in into a propriety datalogger. The datalogger is based on a EFM32 Giant Gecko.

I am trying to do some test on wireless propagation in a agricultural crops.

For this reason i want to send some packets from one TX to several RX which i place in diffrent distances.(I have 4 Kits so it will be 1 TX and 3 RX)

My idea is to use the append status and grab this from the rx buffer and save it to the SD card which is located in the datalogger.

I manage the datalogger and the programing of the EFM32GG is no problem.

I´m asking of some help about how to configurate the CC1200 registers.

My idea is to send some packets with diffrent modulation and afterwards diffrent TX Gain. I will combinate this data afterwards with energy efficiency which i will monitor by using Simplicity Studio.

Can somebody help me to undestand the right setup for the registers of the CC1200 (RSSI LQI CRC, MODULATIONS,RX TX)? I have more details of what i want to do but i think that will go to far here.

Thanks a lot.
