CC1310: TI 15.4 stack > 50 nodes

Hi,

We need 250+ secured node in one 15.4 network.

I learned that the MAC layer encryption needs to be disabled and implement encryption in application layer.

Please help to review the following plan make sense or not.

For the concentrator, we are planning to use CC1310 CoP firmware and the host processor to do the encryption.

For the sensor node, we have to do the encryption in application layer and cannot use TI 15.4 stack MAC encryption.

    Hi Benson, If you are planning to encrypt the application layer payload only that you send via calling ApiMac_mcpsDataReq() and decrypting the message on both the sensor and collector then it should work. In this case, on the collector side only the host processor will be doing encryption.
    Additionally, to make things easier :) please contact your local TI representative to learn about our new upcoming device which can support several hundred nodes with MAC layer security enabled with TI 15.4-Stack.
