CC1350STK: Connected with Sub-1 GHz

Hi, I was wondering how to connect with the sub1Ghz for the CC1350STK? Actually, I want to use the sub-1 GHz to send the data of CC1350STK to the cloud.

Can I just download the FW for one CC1350stk as a concentrator and another one as a node? Do I need the beaglebone and the launchpad to produce the signal?

Hi Shelly,

The easiest is probably to test using SmartRF Studio: www.ti.com/.../SMARTRFTM-STUDIO

When you have found some RF settings you are happy with, you can export them from SmartRF Studio to an example project. This process is described in detail in Simplelink Academy: dev.ti.com/.../

I use that studio to download the code of concentrator and node for the cc1350 sensortag, and then I can not search it by my phone. In my opinion, it successfully under sub-1 GHz range and does not work under Bluetooth. But after that, I cannot find them in TI15.4-Stack Linux Gateway. I do not know what should I do next. Can you help with that? Thank you so much!

How are you planning to connect with the could? (Phone via BLE, WiFI etc ?)

I am trying to use wifi. The main gold is to connect more than 5 different sensortags to send data to the cloud without cell phone. I do not want to use the phone every time. Do you help any suggestion on it? Thank you so much!

CC1350 does not support WiFi, hence my question. For WiFi, you can take a look at www.ti.com/.../CC3220 and so on.

If you want to use WiFi you don't need a cell phone but you need a device that can access WiFi in addition to CC1310.

One way to do this is that your sensors based on the SDK sends data to a collector based on a CC13x0 connected to a WiFi. One way to do this is shown in www.ti.com/.../e14-sensor-to-cloud. In a previous post you wrote "I cannot find them in TI15.4-Stack Linux Gateway" which indicate that you have a beaglebone?

Thank you so much. yes, I have element14 development kit package and I tried to connect them, it works well. so I want to try to connect the CC1350, but I have no idea that it is a BLE only device. Thank you.

If you have the element14 kit I suggest you go through the documentation on this to see how the various boards can be connected to each other.
