CC1310: CC1310 Receive sensitive

Part Number: CC1310

Hi Experts,

Could you please tell me below table information.

RF modulation

Rx sensitive in 915MHz

Can it pass the FCC 15.247 certification (Minimum 6dB BW of 500kHz and maximum power spectral density of 8dBM/Hz)     (YES or No)

500kbps GFSK

1Mbps Sub1g using BLE modulation

1.5Mbps 4FSK

4Mbps 8FSK

Best regards.

  • Hi Experts,

    Could you reply my question?

    Best regards.
  • Hi Alex,

    RF modulation
Rx sensitivity (dBm) in 915MHz Conditions
    500kbps GFSK -97 1% BER, 1243 RX BW, 175KHz deviation
    1Mbps BLE PHY -95 1% BER, 250KHz deviation, 2GFSK
    1.5Mbps 4FSK -94 1% BER, 4FSK, Outer deviation 450KHz
    4Mbps 8FSK -82 1% BER, 8FSK

    Regards,

  • Hi SVS,

Thanks for your information. For FCC certification, we know it will depends on many factors not just RF modulation. But customer want to know just from theory of modulation, can the all above modulation meet the FCC 15.247 certification (Minimum 6dB BW of 500kHz and maximum power spectral density of 8dBM/Hz) .

One more question, from the data you provided, 1.5Mbps 4FSK looks like pretty good compromise of data rate and sensitivity. But we can't find the similar command of RF_cmdPropSniff in HS mode. How to do the WOR in HS. And for 4FSK, do the preamble and sync use 2-FSK, the data use 4-FSK with 750 kbps ? Customer want to do WOR so they need know the specific RF format to calculate the wake up duration time.

    Regards.
  • Hello Alex,

The 6dB BW in all these modes is more than 500KHz but we have not tested these modes for compliance with FCC DTS mode requirements. Currently , we are not able to support sniff mode with HS API. They could configure the radio up to 1mbps in 4FSK mode and still use proprietary API instead of HS API to be able use sniff mode.

  • Hi SVS,

    Thanks!
