I'm having trouble configuring a master and slave pair because the master mother board does not have a pairing button but the slave mother board does.
How do I have to configure the master and slave in order to get these to pair?
Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,
You will need to do this one both the master and slave and use the PurePath Wireless Configurator to set this up.
For the master:
Inside the configurator, go to the radio panel and select Pairing trigger = none.
For the slave:
Inside the configurator, go to the radio panel and select:
- Pairing trigger: Button
- Desirable pairing timeout. The default of 10s is in most cases just fine
- Pairing mechanism: this needs to be set to proximity
- Proximity RSSI threshold: set this to the amount you would like. If you do not want actual proximity to be influencing if the devices should pair or not you should set this to the lowest possible option (-100 dBm)
The configurators help system give more information on the different choices. Mouse cursor over a field you wonder about and pushing F1 will open the help system up at the right place
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Kjetil
My version (1.1.0) does not have the option to choose a pairing mechanism and Proximity.
I'm going to update the configurator to 1.4.0 assuming these options have been added.
Please tell me if these option have to be turned on regardless.
Thanks,
Justin
Hi Justin,
This feature was introduced with FW1.3.0 back in December 2011 so you will at least need this version.
However I would always recommend updating to the latest version unless you product is finished and qualified running a older version - we continue to improve existing feature, add new and fix bugs that we find.
Try 1.4.0 and let me know if you need any more help.
Best Regards,
Kjetil
