CC3200AUDBOOST: Use of CC3200 Audio Booster Pack without TI-RTOS?

Part Number: CC3200AUDBOOST

Hi,

I want to use CC3200 Audio Booster without the help of TI-RTOS. I have tested TI-RTOS example code in CCS and FreeRTOS is really great which makes complex coding very easy but I am using Energia which do not support FreeRTOS (I suppose).

kindly, help me to figure it out. How can I use it without the help of TI-RTOS?

Regards,

Laxmi

  • Hi,

You will have to port the RTOS example to non RTOS.
Unfortunately we do not provide a ready made example or documentation on how to do this as it isn't a one-size-fits-all.

    Hello Charles,
    Thanks for your reply.
How can I convert it into non RTOS code?
I have tested with both TI RTOS and FREE RTOS in CCS, it compiles fine and worked. I have seen Energia EMT supports TI-RTOS which is suppose to support RTOS based codes too.
Can you give me some headstart to import this code CCS code in Energia EMT?

    Regards,

    Laxmi

  • In reply to LAXMI KANT TIWARI:

    Hello Laxmi,

I currently do not have plans to support the Audio BoosterPack in Energia. With that said, as Charles pointed out, you should be able to use the existing code in Energia. Energia 18 currently does not have EMT support for the CC3200 but I will be adding this in a couple weeks or so. In the meantime you can use Energia 17 which does have EMT support for the CC3200.

Thanks Robert for your suggestion. I am trying to port it in Energia and more than 50% work is done. Lets see what would happen once I run it in Enrgia. I would keep updating on progress. Thanks!

    Laxmi
