Hi,

We are planning to use CC31xx Module for one of our new design, kindly clarify below details

Can we have customized web server on cc31xx ; as we would like read/write through UART with our device through web server
Where does the Web pages are stored - Module flash/RAM.

- Mysimplelink.net – Where it is stored/loaded?

- If we make our customized web server – can it be stored in CC31xx?, if yes what is the memory available for storing web pages.

3. How many device can be connected to CC31xx at any point of time

4. What is the distance at which it can be connected – Gain in dBi for an enclosed metal system

5. Is there any near EOL planned for this module.

Dear BR -
the pages are stored on the serial flash which is connected to the CC3100. The HTTP Server sample application we provide in the Software Development Kit (SDK) shows this. processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC31xx_HTTP_Server
the internal server is on the network processor itself. (this is described in section 12.3, here ==> www.ti.com/.../swru368a.pdf)
memory you would use is coming from the device connected serial flash.

the distance at which it will be connected has many variables, including the ambient environment, the gain of the antenna you use, etc. - its not a simple question you are asking, and you would need to provide entire "picture" of the system and the environment for us to make any educated "guesses" here.

there is no planned EOL at this time, for the CC3100MOD, that I am aware of.

Does it mean, we can use Serial flash up to 8Mbits ? if yes, how do we program serial flash? is there any tool available?

Hi BR,

Into serial flash you can upload webpages or your user files. Not all space of 1MB is available for you, because inside this memory is also ServicePack and CC3100 device configuration. Content of serial flash can be uploaded by Uniflash software.
