CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL: Flashing UART

Part Number: CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3220SF, UNIFLASH

Hi,

I need to know if the CC3220SF flashing UART (used by the bootloader with the Uniflash tool) is only the UART0 or could be used even the UART1.

Thank you.

  • Hi Alberto,

Programming the application image to the external serial flash with UART relies on Pins 55 and 57 on the CC3220SF. This is the requirement.

When the SOP pins are set for UARTLOAD mode, the bootloader handles the configuration of these pins and technically sets them to UART 1 for programming.

The pins can be reassigned by the application after boot, but the use of these pins with UART 1 is fixed by the bootloader.

For more info, refer to the CC3220 Production Line Guide.

    Best,

    Ben M
