While having a look at the wlan_ap example of CC3220 and transceiver example of CC3200, I have come across an API sl_WlanSet.

This can be used to configure tx power, channel number, ssid, station limit, and security parameters.

But how does one configure the regulatory domain, the country code, the standard (only 11b or only 11g)?

Hi Neeraj,

You can set the regulatory domain and country code within Uniflash. It can be set as US, EU, or JP. See the following threads for more info:

Wi-Fi Modes supported:

802.11b/g/n Station
802.11b/g Access Point (AP) Supports up to Four Stations

Hello Kevin,

1. The threads are talking about regulatory domains. Thanks for this information.
Tomorrow I will look up the Uniflash for configuration of the Regulatory Domain.

2. I will get back with question about configuration of the country code in case I find that setting the country code is necessary even after the configuration of the "Regulatory Domain". That can be a separate query later on.

3. Question: Can we configure only 802.11 b Wi-Fi Mode? or only 802.11 g Wi-Fi mode?

Neeraj,

To answer 3, I don't believe you can specifically select b, g, or n mode. The NWP will choose the best mode that is available.
