CC3200: OTA not working with default OTA library.

Hi,

When I import the OTA library(From SDK 1.3.0) and then link it to my cc3200 based application, the OTA fails with otarun() returning a failure of -6 or -7, sometimes it succeeds but after hibernation, the old firmware continues to run. However when I compile the imported OTA library and then link it to my application, it works and my new firmware is downloaded and run.

Can you please explain why this happens?

Hi Rajkumar,

Are you using the library with the ota_update example program? processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC3200_Over_The_Air_Update_Application

Are you copying the library into your workspace or importing without copying?

I believe you always need to build the library when linking it to another project.

Hi Kevin,

I am importing the library with "copying" option set to "yes".

Ok, if that is the case, I will build the library before linking it to my application, thanks for your help.
