TIDC-3PHMTR-WIFIXR: How to map the RF connector to CC3220/CC3200 (Urgent)

Hi everyone,

I am new to programming and now have to work for my final year project. I am going to make reference to TIDC-3PHMTR-WIFIXR. But the EVM that I am actually using would be EVM430-676441 and I want to use either CC3220/CC3200 to communicate with it because I want it to interact with Temboo choreo later on. What should be the correct mapping between the RF connector and my launchpad? Anythings I need to note when i use the source code from the reference design after all these changes? Huge thanks!

Hi Law,

I'm not sure which EVM you're referring to. Could you be more specific or post a link?

Hi Kristen,

Sorry that I have listed the wrong EVM no. The EVM that I will be using is which is not the same as the one use in the reference design. Can I do the same for my EVM? Also, can I program the Msp430 of my EVM so that it can publish information to the rest of the launchpad using MQTT. Or is there any better suggestion for the other launchpad to obtain the energy consumption information. Thanks!

Hi Andreas,

Just a quick information. In case of one phase measurement is enough for you, you should look to this reference design - www.ti.com/.../TIDC-CC3200SMARTPLUG

Hi Andreas,

You will need to check the pin compatibility between the devices, and also the SPI driver for communicating between them. I am unsure about the MSP430, but there are MQTT and Power Measurement examples available in the CC3220 SDK: www.ti.com/.../SIMPLELINK-CC3220-SDK
