CC3200MOD: SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_USER_INITIATED_DISCONNECTION but sl_WlanDisconnect Never Called

Hello,

I have the same issue as the one found here:

I am not sure why this thread was marked as resolved because there was never a clear answer given as to why the reason code for the SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_EVENT is SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_USER_INITIATED_DISCONNECTION even though sl_WlanDisconnect() is never called. I am using the CC3200MOD on the launchpad and I get this event and reason code immediately after connecting to an AP. Not only do I get this event, but the module is still connected as I can send and receive data after this event is called.

Hi John,

1) What SDK version are you using? What servicepack do you have flashed to the BoosterPack? Are you running an SDK example or your own application?
2) Can you print out the entire contents of the slWlanConnectAsyncResponse_t (EventData.STAandP2PModeDisconnected) to verify which AP the NWP thinks its disconnecting from?
3) Please provide NWP logs: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC3100_&_CC3200_Capture_NWP_Logs

I went ahead and bypassed the issue by checking the reason code and ignoring the event if it equals SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_USER_INITIATED_DISCONNECTION. Put in a different way, if sl_WlanDisconnect is never called and a SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_EVENT is received with a reason code of SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_USER_INITIATED_DISCONNECTION, then the event is not valid (the CC3200 module is still connected).
