WL18xx - mmc2: card 0001 got removed

I am using kernel 3.16.5 backport with R8.6 for Wi-Fi and using BlueZ for BT.

During startup, I have script to enable BT and issue "hciattach" command without any issues but Wi-Fi has issue. From time to time, while loading BT firmware (bts file), Wi-Fi get disconnected from mmc2. Reboot usually solved it but I need to understand what could caused this and how to fix it. Attached log. Thanks.

  • Hi,

    I have not seen this before. It looks like the WLAN_EN gets toggled for some reason.
    Can you share the dts changes that you've made?

    Regards,
    Gigi Joseph.
  • I haven't make any changes but below is what I have for Wi-Fi dts.

    /* Supporting WL1835 Wlan*/

    			mmc2: mmc@f8004000 {

    				pinctrl-0 = <&pinctrl_mmc2_clk_cmd_dat0 &pinctrl_mmc2_dat1_3>;

    				status = "okay";

    				slot@0 {

    					reg = <0>;

    					bus-width = <4>;

    					non-removable;

    					cap-sdio-irq;

    					cap-power-off-card;

    				};

    			};

    				regulator-max-microvolt = <1800000>;

    			/* WLAN_EN GPIO */

    				pinctrl-0 = <&pinctrl_wlan_en_pu>;

    				gpio = <&pioA 2 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>;

    			/* WLAN card specific delay */

    				startup-delay-us = <70000>;

    			};

    pinctrl@fffff200 {

  • I scope on WLAN_EN and didn't see trigger.

  • Hi,

    What BT service pack are you using?

    Can you try using the one from:

    Best Regards,

    Eyal

  • Which Service Pack should I use?

    I tried "TIInit_11.8.32.bts" but getting timeout error. I have no BT issue using current version that I have with filename "TIInit_11.8.32.bts" but don't remember when/version. File size is different.

  • Hi,

    Can you please share the working bts and the non working bts files?
    It's strange that you are getting the above error with the new bts file.

    Regards,
    Gigi Joseph.
