wl18xx CE regulatory testing

Hello,

I was wondering wether the "calibrator" utility had been used to stimulate the WL18xx module for regulatory testing.

If yes, would it be possible to get the acutal commands used to set up stimulation for each different regulatory test case.

Calibrator is not meant to be used as a tool for regulatory testing/certification.

Well,
I took a look at the documents, mentionning an automated framework for conducting the tests.
I was refering more to the radiated RF test, where the device sits on its own in the chanmber.

Hi Francois,

My apologies for the late reply. When certification is performed on the WL18xx there are 2 tools that were that are used. One is for BT certification and the other for WIFI. You can down load the installer from:

www.ti.com/.../WILINK-BT_WIFI-WIRELESS_TOOLS

Within here RTTT is used for WIFI and HCITester is used for BT.

It is possible to use the calibrator tool to get the radio in the modes you wish. Examples of how to operate the radio can be found at:

2) processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_RX_Testing
3) processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_Bluetopia_PM_Bluetooth_RF_Testing

From this information you can find and edit to get the radio in the mode you wish. We don't have a command set for calibrator as during our regulatory testing it was done with RTTT and HCITester.
