Hi,

We are considering a SoM which uses the WL1831 module. Our product won't be going through certification in the UK (ETSI/CE) until later in the year and so we will definitely need to conform to RED (as I understand takes effect after 13th June 2017).

Do you have any updates on timelines towards RED certification?

As I understand it the module now needs to conform to EN 300 328 v2.1.1 (currently conforms to EN 300 328 1.8.1 and 1.9.1 through annex E data).

We are currently working thru RED certification. We hope to have the new RED compliance by the April May time frame. We are currently on target to be compliant for RED by the June, 2017 deadline.

I have a few follow-up questions:

How are you handling non-harmonized standards? Are you using a Notified Body?

Will this timeline also apply to the WL1837MOD?

Hi Rizwan,

any news on the RED certifications?
I am in Rowan's same situation (use of WL1831MOD) and I need to certify in the near future (~April, in any case before June). All relevant ETSI Standards seems to be harmonized.
