Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1831
Hi All,
I'm using WL1831 chip for BT communication via UART in Android BSP. WL1831 datasheet they mentioned BT_AUD_CLK as Master.
Is there any option to make as slave?

Hi,
The BT audio clock direction as output (PCM master) or input (PCM slave) is configured using the 'PCM clock direction' parameter of the HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config (0xFD06) Vendor Specific (VS) command.
Option 1 : You will need to figure out how to send a raw HCI command in Android BSP and send this vendor specific command to the WL183x controller.
Option 2 : Alternatively, you can open the TIInit_11.8.32.bts file using the HCITester and edit the HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config command towards to end for your desired parameters. This command in the bts file holds the default values of the CODEC_Config parameters. Then you can save and use this modified TIInit_11.8.32.bts normally and it will load your specified PCM parameters by default.

Thanks for your response vihang,
I checked VS commands document. The default value of HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config they mentioned PCM direction -> 1(input). So it's in slave mode right.
So i want to check the value of PCM direction in HCI_VS_Write_CODEC_Config in TIInit_11.8.32.bts file
so how can check it.?
In this file also PCM Direction default value is 1.?

Hi,
Please refer to the following User's Guide regarding HCITester.
The sections 1, 2 and 3 will walk you through how to open a bts file in the HCITester. After that, you can just look for the CODEC_Config command in the script and edit it according to your parameters. You can save it as TIInit_11.8.32.bts and use the edited version after that.

The PCM direction is set to 0x00 (Master) by default. If you have it set to 0x01, then you already have it configures as slave. Please make sure that rest of the PCM parameters in this command also align with the host/audio codec settings.
