WL1831MOD: WL18xx

Part Number: WL1831MOD

Hi,

My Question is on RF Interference(RFI) for co-located Wi-Fi module and Sub GHz modules.

I'm configured the WL1831MOD for only Wi-Fi in ant1(not using the ant2).

As my system consist of 4 more RF transceivers in sub GHz (865-928MHz) range and has got 4 antennas.

the all 5 antennas are placed approximately 1-2 foot far from each other.

Please suggest the design considerations for RF interference for co-located modules.

Thanks

Rajendra Prasad

  • Hi Prasad,

We do not have any do collateral for co-location with other RF transceivers. The 1 to 2 feet way is good for isolation however so that is a good start. You also what to try and orient the antennas so that they are 90 degrees away from each other so that the radiated patters can have minimum overlap.

Fore regulator certification, ensure you consult with your test house as there may be some additional testing required to to co-location of more than one radio for your product.

    Thanks
