WL1837MOD: How to configure WL1837MOD to support mSBC

Hi,

I am trying to setup hikey960 as a car radio which use WL1837MOD and running Android.

When I was testing HFP by connecting my iPhone to WL1837MOD, I can not hear sound through bluetooth.

After tracing hci log, I found that iphone use mSBC codec to connect to hikey960, but WL1837MOD seens not to be configure correctly to support mSBC.

My question is how to configure it by using dut_mode_send command ?

Hello Isaac,

You need to make sure the init script of the WL1837MOD configures the mSBC according to the parameters you use.
I will check if it's even possible to do that via dut_mode_send command, and get back to you concerning this issue.

Where is the init script of the WL1837MOD? I am running Android and build the image from master branch of AOSP.

This is specific to Hikey AOSP folder structure, so you need to check in that AOSP tree.. Browsing, it appears the BTS files for HIKEY are placed at below :

android.googlesource.com/.../
