WL1837MOD: Low transmitted power of about -30 dBm instead of about +15 dBm at 5GHz

Part Number: WL1837MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1807MOD,

Hi All,

This question is related to transmitted power at 5GHz.

Referring to the document WL1807MOD, WL1837MOD, SWRS170H –AUGUST 2014–REVISED OCTOBER 2015 sections 5.8 WLAN Performance: 2.4-GHz Transmitter Power and 5.10 WLAN Performance: 5-GHz Transmitter Power:

We get acceptable power levels in 2.4GHz band and very low (-30 dBm to -20 dBm) power levels in the 5GHz band.

The measurements are done via wired (UFL) connection using a spectrum analyzer.

Has anyone faced this issue and found the root cause?

Many thanks in advance,

Adam
