Linux/WL1835MOD: R8.7_SP2 driver for kernel 3.0.35 using build script

Yes, it support both FCC and ETSI.
You can find all the info at:

You should be able to try it out by just using the latest firmware with your current drivers from R8.6_SP1.

Just try taking the latest firmware file from R8.7_SP3:
git.ti.com/.../R8.7_SP3

and update in your rootfs.

Thanks for the response.

With respect to firmware, we are using R8.7_SP2 (Rev 8.9.0.0.75). Does it has support for FCC and ETSI ?

Regarding INI file, we are currently using the wl18xx-conf-default.bin, the one that comes with the wlconf tool.

The following link says WL1835MOD_INI_C2PC.ini file supports ETSI.

Can you please confirm that the WL1835MOD_INI_C2PC.ini has support for both FCC and ETSI?

I suggest you use the firmware I recommended:

Just try taking the latest firmware file from R8.7_SP3:
git.ti.com/.../R8.7_SP3

software-dl.ti.com/.../release_notes_R8_7_SP3.html

R8.7_SP3 release contains an update to address the WPA2 vulnerability security issue.
The firmware file is drop in replacement in case you use the firmware from R8.7_SP2.

Regarding wl18xx-conf.bin, suy should not use the default file bu rather use wlconf and the configure-device.sh script docuemnted in:
www.ti.com/.../swra489.pdf

Please refer to section 2 mainly.

We tried the configure-device.sh script and we were able to generate the wl18xx-conf.bin file. We made sure that the script chooses WL1835MOD_INI_C2PC.ini file to create the wl18xx-conf.bin file.

FYI below is the input given by us

Can you please confirm that the created wl18xx-conf.bin file will support both FCC and ETSI?
