Hello,

after flashing the cc26xx-demo on my srf06-cc1310 board, the board stuck in an endless loop with the following serial output:

I compiled with:

make TARGET=srf06-cc26xx BOARD=srf06/cc13xx

Same output for SmartRF06 + CC1350EM R1.3.3 or CC1310EM R1.0.1

I also tested hello-world and slip-radio. Allways the watchdog resets the device.

I've tested the cc1310 with cc26xx-demo and it worked just fine.
Could you disable watchdog, recompile and program it again

If I remove

watchdog_init();
watchdog_start();
watchdog_periodic();

in srf06-cc26xx/contiki-main.c

it just hangs and don't reboot.

After reading about problems with some board revisions in another thread here. On which board revision did you test the demo? And do you work with the latest Contiki commit: "Starting Contiki-3.x-2057-g99f0c9f" ?

The call to netstack_init() is causing the problem. It hangs not immediately after the call, but when commented out the rest of the programm is functional (e.g. button reading forever).

I attached my binary of CC26XX-demo for CC1310. It works fine on my CC1310DK and you can try it to see if you still have reboot issue.

Thank you! Your attached binary works fine on my CC1310, too.

As a first step to reproduce your binary, I tried to checkout the same version from github as shown by your binary "Starting Contiki-3.x-1879-g46c42e6".

So at first I:

git clone --recursive github.com/.../contiki

but than I can't checkout your verion:

git checkout 46c42e6

I finally found a commit, which I can compile and run from the contiki repo.

With

git checkout 7dc8ace

I can build a working example.

Just sync to the latest Contiki and I can reproduce the reboot issue. Need to spend sometime to see why this happens. Anyway, it's good to know you find a workable version.

Hi all,

found in "Merge pull request #1350 from g-oikonomou/bugfix/cc26xx/tx-power" the reason.

line 163: *status = HWREG(RFC_DBELL_BASE + RFC_DBELL_O_CMDSTA) & 0xFF;

if you get rid of masking "& 0xFF" everything works fine again.

Hi, nice find! Would you mind opening an issue on github, or posting a pull request so that the maintainers can have a look? I also had similar problems on cc1310em, but haven't had time to debug it yet.
