Hi all.

In order to program the device flash, and assuming that the bootloader provided in Z-Stack is already programmed, can one use a script or anything similar to automate the process of writing "user" images to it?

Or do we need to still use SmartRF Flash Programmer?

No, boot loader is not programmed. You have to use Flash Programmer to program it by yourself.

Yikai Chen,

I understand that bootlader doesn't come programmed and that i need an 8051 programmer to do it.

But after having programmed it, can i use the command line or a script to send "whatever" firmware i write to the CC2531?

Yes, after you program boot loader to CC2531. You should be able to use command line to send FW to CC2531. You can try to refer to processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC253x_Serial_Boot_Loader
