hi,

I am trying to Program an External Target Device via SmartRF06EB.

I followed this documentation "swru321a SmartRF06EB User Guide.pdf" , Chapter 7 : Debugging an external target using SmartRF06EB.

My External target device is CC2630 5X5 RHB package and i'm trying to run the sample Switch Z-stack Application.

My Win7 detects the USB XDS Emulator and also the Target Device CC2630 is Detected.

But when I flash the device it throws the below error :

Sat Jan 21, 2017 18:58:18: Fatal error: Failed to connect to the XDS emulator (connect ICEPick)... (Error -233 @ 0x0) The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken. An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed. The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault. (Emulation package 6.0.228.0) Session aborted!

If you use Flash Programmer 2 to download prebuilt hex file, does it work?

In Flash Programmer 2, when i try to erase flash mem or read the all the flash mem i get the below error

>Initiate access to target: XDS-06EB12210A7CA.
>Create XBAL object failed: Target connect failed
>Failed to create device object.

Also in SmartRFStudio, it shows as connected but when I open the control panel, i get the follwing error.

It seems that there are something wrong with your HW. Try to refer to processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC26xx_HW_Troubleshooting and do debugging on HW.

yes looks like a hardware problem.

First time I was able to flash the program, but the code i flashed was for 7ID(48 pin RGZ Package) instead of using 5XD (32 pin RHB Package).

Could that cause this hardware problem, if so, any way to factory reset it or some technique to recover it.

Try to d a mass erase from Flash Programmer 2.

no i am not able to erase via flash programmer 2 bcoz JTAG throws above error.

Try to restart your desktop and only open Flash Programmer 2 to test again.
