Hi,

I am using two IMX6 based custom boards with CC2530. I am having coordinator with ZNP configuration & enddevice with Generic app. It seems that we need a key press for the sending the "HELLO WORLD" message between the devices. I wanted to know whether we can send packets without any key press. I have tried by giving xHOLD_AUTO_START preprocessor defined symbols of GenericApp but no success...

If I remember correctly, GenericApp will send "Hello World" periodically after you do binding.

As of now am using TI Demo App from which I give permit join and the device get updated in the list. But I can't see any 'HELLO WORLD' message packets from sniffer log. When I give ON/OFF command from demo app that packet is appearing in the sniffer log. Below attached is the sniffer log.

As I replied, you have to do binding to make GeneriApp send "Hello World". I don't see binding in your sniffer log.

In sniffer log, you bind to cluster ID 0x0006 which is on/off cluster. However, GenericApp uses 1 as cluster ID to send "Hello World".

Do I need to configure anything on the ZNP Coordinator / enddevice side for the cluster ID? As of now am using the default stack without any changes.

Do you run Zigbee HA profile on ZNP coordinator?

Nope. ZNP config for coordinator from Z-stack Mesh.

You can add support to cluster ID on ZNP-ZAP coordinator but it's not mandatory.

If that's not mandatory is there any other configuration required? Why the devices not sending the message packets?

I had replied that you do binding to cluster ID 0x0006 in your sniffer log. You have to do binding to Claster ID 0x0001.

I binded the enddevice with coordinator and from the sniffer logs it seems that the 'HELLO WORLD' packets are being sent, now I want to know where in ZNP I can extract these message packets from enddevice? I tried setting breakpoint at AF_INCOMING_MSG_CMD inside the znpEventLoop in znp_app.c but its not getting hit...

Try to set breakpoint in afBuildMSGIncoming and see if it hits when "Hello World" is sent.

Breakpoint in afBuildMSGIncoming() of ZNP is getting hit multiple times but not on recieving the 'HELLO WORLD' pkt.. I enabled AF_ACK_REQUEST in AF_DataRequest of GenericApp_SendTheMessage() and am able to get the ack....

This is nothing to do with APS ack. I see "Hello World" is sent to your coordinator and you should receive AF_INCOMING_MSG from your ZNP. Try to set breakpoint in MT_AfIncomingMsg and see if it hits when send "Hello World"

The breakpoint in MT_AfIncomingMsg in znp_app.c is not getting hit..

Also, from the log it seems that End device bind request from 0x0000 is getting timeout..why it happens so? From where in the stack this request is made?

If you use ZTOOL to do the same test, can you see AF_INCOMING_MSG in ZTOOL console?
