Hello,

In case of many to one routing, If I set zgRouterOffAssocCleanup flag to TRUE

and any router gets power off for some time and then again power ON ,

After that the end devices which were associated with the router , will they be able to communicate through the same router without rejoin ?how will be the behaviour of end device ?

  • Hello Dhanraj,

This is known as an orphan child, once it realizes that the parent is no longer responsive then it will initiate the orphan procedure as outlined in the Scenarios section of the 802.15.4 MAC API. It then finds an active parent device and joins it instead. Once the original parent powers back on it will send a parent annce to see which children are still abandoned and which have been adopted by another parent. The re-adopted ones are removed from the router table. This process is further explained in Section 9.12.3 of the Z-Stack Developer's Guide.

    Regards,
    Ryan
