Hello,

what is the meaning of Incoming and Outgoing cost in Link status in Ubiqua sniffer for zigbee network ?

  • The incoming cost field contains the device's estimate of the link cost for the neighbor, which is a value between 1 and 7. The outgoing cost field contains the value of the outgoing cost field from the neighbor table.
  • Alongside what YK said, a link status cost of 1 is optimal whereas 7 is poor. A value of 0 indicates no connection even thought the devices are identified as neighbors. Link status values only apply between routing devices so ZEDs will not be listed. Link status messages are sent by Z-Stack automatically and are defined in nwk_globals.h as NWK_LINK_STATUS_PERIOD. Check the Z-Stack Developer's Guide for more information.

    Regards,
