CC2530: Programming CC2530 Problem with COM port

Hello,
I try to programming cc2530, but I have problem. I do not now how I can found COM port which is using to programming. I have windows 7 ultimate 32-bit (virtual machine).

I think you should use CC Debugger to programmer CC2530 unless your CC2530 already has SBL running on it.

I use Flash Programmer to program CC debugger. I go information: Erase, program and verify OK
Next step: I run SBDemo chose EndDevice.bin end now i have problem... i don't now where i can check what port COM i using to programming CC2530.
What i should to do?

So you are not using a TI EVM like the SmartRF05EB? Your COM port needs to connect to UART RX/TX on P0_2/P0_3 (depending on HAL_UART_ISR definition, 1 is the default) to successfully program through the SBL. The CC-DEBUGGER does not have a UART connection and you would have to port the source code for a SPI interface. e2e.ti.com/.../108025

So don't I have options to program my cc2530?
My own shemat look like :

PCB Boart is with that shemat create by myself.
Is it passible to programming my cc2530 with my CC Debugger?

Yes, you can program CC2530 with CC Debugger.

But how do that?
I can load file .hex to CC Debugger.

CC-DEBUGGER does not enumerate as a Virtual COM Port, it is classified as a Cebal controlled device inside you system's Device Manager.

Hello,
I connected converter usb to TTL to my board.
RX -> P1_7
TX -> P1_6
and power supply with GND.
I try use SBL. When i use SBL i seen: drive.google.com/open
What i should to do?

1. Do you have SBL FW running on CC2530?
2. If I remember correctly, SBL uses P0.3 and P0.2 as TX and RX.

CC Debugger don't emulate port COM.

CC Debugger use to program Eval board, right?

That Eval board is for program CC2530.

Propably that Eval kit emulate COM Port.

With this Eval board i can use SBL.

I see you have Debugger interface on your board and I suppose it’s for CC Debugger. So, you should use CC Debugger directly to program it.

I don’t know what that FW is and I suggest you to build your own CC2530 hex image from Z-Stack examples.

You can download Z-Stack and find examples inside. You will need to use IAR to build the examples. There are user guides in Z-Stack document folder and I suggest you to read them first.

Import project to IAR -> Project Properties -> Linker -> Extra Output -> Generate extra output file -> Output format: intel-extended. Located in the project's EXE folder.

You have use an obsolete version. I suggest you to download latest Z-Stack 3.0.1 from http://www.ti.com/tool/Z-STACK

To add on Ryan's comments, you also need to make sure the following two lines are uncommented in f8w2530.xcl

// Include these two lines when generating a .hex file for banked code model:
-M(CODE)[(_CODEBANK_START+_FIRST_BANK_ADDR)-(_CODEBANK_END+_FIRST_BANK_ADDR)]*\
_NR_OF_BANKS+_FIRST_BANK_ADDR=0x8000
