LMK00306: The application for OSCin/OSCout/REFout

Hi team,

I wonder if we have a specific targeting application for OSCin and OSCout. I thought in most application two CLKin/CLKin* are enough for designs. What's the merit of crystal IN port?

In addition, I wonder if we have a specific targeting application for REFout. Do some applications require this CMOS reference output?

This allows the use of a low cost external crystal vs. a more expensive XO.

I'll have to check to see if there is something specific I don't know about. However I do know that sometimes I wish for a mixed format buffer. Most simple CMOS buffers require a CMOS input. This CMOS output gives the option to drive a CMOS fan-out buffer in addition to the differential output buffer. This is my guess as the use case.
- I'll let you know if I find out anything more.
