TLV2548M: SPI SCLK

Part Number: TLV2548M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV2548

Tool/software:

I have a question about SCLK on the TLV2548 SPI.
CFR = AF80
SCLK = 11MHz
Conversion clock Select = SCLK/2
Long Sampling
used as INT
In the above condition, SCLK does not work when 42ea is entered, and it is not operated when
28 + 14x2 = 56ea was input and it worked fine.

Is this setup correct?

  • HI Siwon,

    The configuration register (CFR) is 12 bits wide, so would be represented by 3 hex digits. Right now, I'm assuming a value of 0xAF8. Is this your correct usage? If so, this does not line up to the configuration that you wish to use.

    In the above condition, SCLK does not work when 42ea is entered, and it is not operated when
    28 + 14x2 = 56ea was input and it worked fine.

    Can you expand on your reasoning for this so I can follow along better?

    Regards,
    Joel

  • I asked the question too casually.

    It's a simple question.

    When I set Conversion Clock Select = SCLK
    I understand that 14ea SCLK is required for conversion.

    If I set Conversion Clock Select = SCLK/2, do I still need 14 ea SCLK or 28 ea?

    The reason for this question is that if I send SCLK 14ea, INT is not output, but if I send SCLK 28ea, INT and ADC DATA are output normally.

  • Hi Siwon,

    Yes, I understand now. Thanks for clarifying.

    In the case that Conversion Clock = SCLK/2, it will be 28 SCLKs, since 14 conversion clocks are required to complete a conversion. If Conversion Clock = SCLK/4, it would take 56 SCLKs.

    Regards,
    Joel

  • Thanks for the clarification.
    Your answer has solved my problem.
