Hi,

for tolerance analysis I need gain and offset error of the device. In the datasheet offset error and full scale error is noted. How can the gain error be calculated from the offset and full scale error?

Hello,

Gain error is the full scale error minus the offset error.

Hi,

in the datasheet the maximum offset error is greater than the maximum full scale error.

Maximum Full Scale Error for 5V supply is +/-2 LSB.

Maximum Offset Error for 5V supply is +/- 2.3 LSB.

Can you provide the Gain Error in LSB.

Hello,

That means gain error can be +/-4.3 LSB:

Full Scale Error - Offset Error = Gain Error (Max)

+2 - +2.3 = -0.3

+2 - -2.3 = +4.3

-2 - +2.3 = -4.3

-2 - -2.3 = +0.3

Full Scale Error - Offset Error = Gain Error (Typ)

+0.3 - +1.2 = -0.9
