ADC10D1500RB: Hardware error occured: WvBoardEnum call returned 'false'

Hello, TI specialists.

When we connect the reference board to the Wave Vsion 5.0.6.465, hardware error occures.
It says "WvBoardEnum call returned 'false' ".

We have have tried on win7 and winXP (win XP is in the Virtual Box), however ,same probrem is occured.
In the device manager, the board seems connected successfully.
We use power supply that came with the board and power indication LED (LD10) is lit up.
Is the board broken? Or is there any jumper settings we missed?

Hello,

Can you check the power supply and make sure that it is rated for 12 V and at least 1.5 A to 2 A? Sometimes if there is not enough current being supplied the computer will connect to the board, but WaveVision will not recognize it.

I appriciate your support.

Yes, the power supply is rated for 12V and 3.0A.

When the board is switched on, input voltage on J12 connector is 12.18V and the current flowing into the board is ~1.2A.
Here is addittional information,
GND(TP10) to 3V3IO(J6) : 3.345V
GND(TP10) to3V3USI1(J13) : 3.418V
GND(TP10) to5V0USI1(J13) : 4.93V

Hello,

Seeing as the power being supplied is efficient the next thing I can think of is that it may be a driver issue on the computer. Here is a link for the WaveVision driver installation guide. Also, I would suggest trying to add a jumper on J155 and try to see if it will connect to WaveVision.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Do you mean the driver installation guide of here?

I uninstalled my WaveVision5 and driver, then re-install them following the guide but same error message appeared.
In the device manager on WinXP(VirtualBox), I confirmed that it recognizes the board under the NSC_USB_WV5 class as mentioned in the guide.

I also add a jumper on J155, but, nothing changed.
I tried remove both J155 and J156. There is same error.

Thanks for your advice.

I connected my board and installed the driver on my windows10 PC following your instruction.
The board is certainly recognized as mentioned in the manual, however the device name is not same.
(My board is ADC10D1500)

And then I runned WaveVision5 on windows10, it shows same error message "Hardware error occured: WvBoardEnum call returned 'false'".
