Hi Team,

Using the DP83867ERGZT, we design the circuit in the auto-negotiation setting by 100BASE-T.

How long does it take from power up to link?

Is there any information about the approximate link time?

Is auto-negotiation turned on or is the PHY forced to 100BASE-T?

Hi Rahul,

I think section 7.6 is the Power-Up Timing, but what I asked is the link timing.

Hi Tom,

The Link Up timing depends on multiple factors Auto-negotiation, MDI/MDI-X convergence and the Link Partner.

If the DUT is forced at 100-mbps, Link partner has to auto-negotiate and Link has to be formed using training and auto-negotiation convergence. Typically it will 1-2 secs.
