DS250DF230: I would like to ask you a question about the recovery clock of ds250df230, as described in the manual below:

Part Number: DS250DF230
  • Question 1: The data rate we designed this time is 11.181G, which is not in this table. Then what should the actual recovery clock be? Or is there any way to figure it out?

  • Question 2: See in the table, the recovery clock corresponding to several data rates is 30.72M. Is there a relationship between this recovery clock and the clock on the data such as the same frequency?

  • Hi,

Please use the link below to request access to the DS250DF230 programming guide.  It contains additional details on the recovered clock and available dividers.

Question 1: The data rate we designed this time is 11.181G, which is not in this table. Then what should the actual recovery clock be? Or is there any way to figure it out?

Yes, this can be calculated by recover_clk = 11.181 / clk_div.  Clock divider can be set to either 320, 330, 396, or 400.  See programming guide for additional details.

Question 2: See in the table, the recovery clock corresponding to several data rates is 30.72M. Is there a relationship between this recovery clock and the clock on the data such as the same frequency?

Yes, the recovered clock frequency is derived from the VCO frequency and a clock divider.

    Thanks,
    Drew
