TS3USB3000: Circuit design issue

Part Number: TS3USB3000

Tool/software:

Dear TI Engineer,

We have question about the circuit design about the TS3USB3000.

1) Did the pin7 can connected to D-, and the pin8 connected to D+?

2) Also can the corresponding USB+and USB -, MHL+and MHL - also be connected in reverse?

Thanks,

Kind Regards

  • Hi Lumina,

    1) Did the pin7 can connected to D-, and the pin8 connected to D+?

The D+ pin connects to MHL+/USB+, and D- connect to MHL-/USB-. Pin 7 should carry the D- lines of the USB2 data lines, and pin 8 should carry the D+ lines.

    2) Also can the corresponding USB+and USB -, MHL+and MHL - also be connected in reverse?

We recommend keeping the positive lanes on the positive pins, and the negative lanes on the negative pins.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
