[FAQ] Can I apply 3.3V at VCC and get 5V output on the ISOW78xx device?

Can I apply 3.3V at VCC and get 5V output on the ISOW78xx device?

  • Yes, ISOW78xx devices support boost mode operation with 3.3V applied at VCC to get 5V at VISO. Please note that the device supports a load of upto 40mA as against 130mA that it supports in other input/output voltage configurations.

If boost mode operation is not a requirement, then we recommend that you consider the ISOW77xx for your application. ISOW77xx is a new, upgraded, second generation family of devices with integrated DC-DC converters. View the ISOW7741 datasheet to learn more.
