C2000-CGT: installs wrong toolchain

Part Number: C2000-CGT

Hi Team,

A customer tried downloading the compiler toolchain at https://www.ti.com/tool/C2000-CGT for Linux. The downloaded file is called "ti_cgt_c2000_22.6.0.LTS_linux-x64_installer.bin"

Upon install, the ti_cgt_c2000_22.6.0.LTS is not included but installs ti-cgt-arm_18.12.1.LTS instead which only seems to support ARM boards.

The customer then installed the CCS IDE and found the compiler they need: ./ccs1230/ccs/tools/compiler/ti-cgt-c2000_22.6.0.LTS/bin/cl2000

Would you kindly check and confirm that the linux installer only supports ARM? does the stand-alone download of the toolchain broken?

Thanks!

Regards,

Marvin

  • Upon install, the ti_cgt_c2000_22.6.0.LTS is not included but installs ti-cgt-arm_18.12.1.LTS instead

I am unable to reproduce that result.  I downloaded ...

the compiler toolchain at https://www.ti.com/tool/C2000-CGT for Linux. The downloaded file is called "ti_cgt_c2000_22.6.0.LTS_linux-x64_installer.bin"

... and installed it.  Everything works exactly as I expected.

Please check the version of the install image.  When I do it I see ...

    % ./ti_cgt_c2000_22.6.0.LTS_linux-x64_installer.bin --version
    C2000 Code Generation Tools 22.6.0.LTS --- Built on 2022-06-05 10:56:41 IB: 21.6.0-202106241241

    What do you see?

    Thanks and regards,
