TM4C129XNCZAD: Looking for help navigating your 32-bit ARM MCU lineup

Part Number: TM4C129XNCZAD

Tool/software:

Good morning,

I'm looking for an MCU to use on one of my company's next products. I, admittedly, sometimes struggle to navigate the Texas Instrument's product catalogue filters. We're specifically looking for an LCD or RGB interface peripheral. The only ones I've found so far are in the TM4C129 lineup. We were hoping for an MCU (not a processor) running on a slightly higher clock speed than 120 MHz for this project.

Do you have 32-bit ARM MCUs with LCD / RGB peripherals other than the TM4C129 family? Would any of the Hercules family loosely fit these parameters?

For my own future benefit, are all chips with LCD / RGB peripherals found through [ filter>features>LCD Controller ] in your product catalogue?

Thank you for your help,

Dan

  • I've noticed that the MSP432E411Y has an LCD controller peripheral, but isn't revealed when filtering [features>LCD Controller].

    HI Dan,

TM4C129 and MSP432E are the only two MCUs with the LCD interface. MSP432E is the same silicon as TM4C129 but uses SimpleLink SDK as the platform rather than TivaWare SDK as in TM4C129.

For my own future benefit, are all chips with LCD / RGB peripherals found through [ filter>features>LCD Controller ] in your product catalogue?

Yes. For some reason the filter does not list MSP432E. As noted, MSP432E has LCD support. However, it is rated for 120Mhz. Hercules does not have LCD.
