Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS631000,
Tool/software:
Hi there,
I built a customized MSP432E401Y board to control a signal generator. The MSP432 and the signal generator share the same power module (TI TPS631000). The MSP432 is directly powered on when the system is switched on. The signal generator power is controlled by the MSP432 through a MOSFET switch (SiA517DJ). The signal generator has about 80uF bypass capacitor over its 3.3V+ and GND.
At first, I can connect to MSP432 through XDS110 (coming with the MSP432 launch pad) and I can debug the MSP432 (the signal generator power is switched off).
As I switch on the signal generator power (turn on the MOSFET switch (SiA517DJ)) in debugging, I lost the connection between MSP432 and XDS110.
Now the PC can detect the XDS110 as I disconnect the customized board from the XDS110. If I connect the customized board with the XDS110, the PC cannot detect the XDS110.
Is the MSP432 on the customized board physically damaged? Should I remove it and reinstall a new MSP432 on the board?
Thank you very much for any suggestion,
Zhonghai
