TMS570LS0232: FEE

Part Number: TMS570LS0232

Tool/software:

I am using FEE for saving the calibration data and some device info, such as working hour. When I update the application if I added a new calibration data calibraion data get broken. I need to erase virtual sectors to not to be broken. Without erasing it how can I fix it.

  • HI Zeynep,

When I update the application if I added a new calibration data calibraion data get broken.

What do you mean by updating new application?

Are you using bootloader and are you updating your complete application frequently?

Are you updating FEE area as well?

We should not update FEE area, right?

And also, are you keeping same FEE configurations for updated application as well?  If we have same configurations (Number of virtual sectors and their sizes, number of data blocks and their sizes etc.) then there must not be any issue.

  • Are you using bootloader and are you updating your complete application frequently?

Yes I am using bootloader. I don't update application frequently.

Are you updating FEE area as well?

I am not changing the size of blocks. Lets say I have 5 calibration data but I need to change it in new version and I have 6 calibration data. I have enough speace for it in the blocks.

And also, are you keeping same FEE configurations for updated application as well?  If we have same configurations (Number of virtual sectors and their sizes, number of data blocks and their sizes etc.) then there must not be any issue.

No I am not changing the configurations .  I set the block size larger than necessary so that there would be room when new data is added so that I would not change the configuration.

  • Hi Zeynep,

Can we have one live debugging session, all you need to do is that share your screen and explain your issue.

I will verify and will provide my suggestions.

I will be available from 10AM to 8PM IST (Indian Standard Time), setup a meeting based on your availability.
