Hello,

TI does not suggest to use CLANG with TMS570 series. I saw that a few TI E2E forum. I want to know why. If there is no suppurt with halcogen or CCS, I think there is no problem. But if TI CLANG is not fully compatible or applicable with cortex R4, I want to know. Could you explain?

The HALCoGen generated code, SDL (safety diagnostic library, CSP test cases) are not fully supported by TI-Clang.

If you use TI-Clang, you need to update CSP test cases, HalCOGen generated code etc manually.

This is the reason we always recommend customer to use TI ARMCL compiler (or TI LTS Compiler) for Hercules controllers.
