You are asking a fundamental Ethernet question, not a MCU question. Ethernet protocol requires MAC address. I will suggest you go through the usage of MAC address from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address. You can go Google search and there are tons of information about it. If you look at a Ethernet frame (see below), it consists of a six bytes of MAC destination and another six bytes of MAC source. This is like sending a mail where you specify the address that you want to send to and from who is sending.

Refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address. The upper 3 nibbles of the MAC address contains the OUI that is assigned to the manufacture. Therefore, TI has a pool of MAC addresses. You need to acquire your own OUI for your company.
