Hello,

I am doing project on Stellaris EvalBot, and I have problems because this model is obsolete, and I can't find code examples. Specificly I need help with ethernet comunication, so I would apriciate if someone have code example, or could tell me from where to start.

Thanks, this will be helpful, but still, I wanted to find some code examples. I have some sound demo, and it helped me, but I need more materials. I am trying to find some ethernet demo, I have read that there is some, and I am trying to find it. Anything that use ethernet would help me, even for other Stellaris products.

If you download the complete StellarisWare SW-LM3S-10636 from the link on http://www.ti.com/tool/sw-lm3s that has Ethernet examples for other Stellaris devices.

[From a quick look I can't see any Ethernet examples for the LM3S9B92 on the EvalBot, but you should be able to port an example from a different device]

Hi, Chester.
I'm working with Milos on this project and yesterday we managed to find these examples, but thank you anyway.

We are now having a problem with example enet_lwip. We want to build something on top of it and we need sockets, but when we change lwipopts.h file so that sockets can be used - #define LWIP_SOCKET 1, we get an insane amount of errors in the sockets.c file. Do you have any ideas what could be the cause of it?

Not without the details of the errors.

I did note that all the TI LWIP examples I could find didn't use the socket API - see https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tiva_arm/f/908/t/331037 for the reason.

However, in this thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/stellaris_arm/f/471/t/200861 someone found that to get sockets.c to compile under the StellarisWare version of LWIP you have to "Enable support for GCC language extensions" in the TI compiler options.

We decided to use the TCP/IP connections, since we couldn't get sockets.c to compile (most errors were - SIMBOL_NAME not defined).

TCP/IP is a little more complicated than the sockets API, but we found some code which seems to work just fine and now we can connect to the EvalBot via telnet or our Phyton scripts.

I am having a similar issue i.e. since the evalbot is obsolete - is there a platform/dev kit to test robotic designs?
