F28M36P63C2: question about address interface in HB16 mode

Part Number: F28M36P63C2

Hi Team,

There's an issue from the customer need your help:

Excuse me, I need to use the EPI HB16 mode in the red box in the above picture to access two chips, but the address line is only A0~A25. Can I use a GPIO to simulate A26 to access the chip whose address line is A0~A26? Is this okay? What is the reason for not being able to do so? If possible, what aspects should be paid attention to? Thanks.

Could you help check this case?

Thanks & Regards,

Ben
