Hi,
Hi Anka,
How do I cancel the encryption program after the simulation is complete?
I shall forward this query for expert opinion.
How do I change my password? How many times can it be changed?
The passwords can be updated using the On-chip flash tool in the CCS debug window (Security settings) and program the required value.
The CSMPSWD field needs to be updated for the respective zones. Please check the CSM Passwords section in TRM for further details
You need to change the link pointer to select new Zone Select Block and then update the new password.
Thanks
Aswin
How do I cancel the encryption program after the simulation is complete?
Your question is not clear. Can you please elaborate?
How do I change my password?
The password can be changed with any one of the following methods:
How many times can it be changed?
As many times as there are Zone Select Blocks. For example, if there are 15 ZSBs, you can change the password 15 times. Once the password is programmed for a ZSB, you cannot change the passwords in the same ZSB because the corresponding ECC bits would have already been programmed. Therefore, you have to move to the next ZSB, which warrants the update of the linkpointer. As expected, the number of times a password can be changed will match the number of possible link pointer updates.
Hi Hareesh,
Thank your support.
After the program is successfully burned, I have to enter the password each time in order to debug. The process of entering the password is a bit troublesome, can I cancel the password?
Anka,
Programming the password is typically not done during the development stage. It is done when the product is released to production. Once programmed and enabled, you cannot “cancel” a password.
If you change your mind and decide not to secure the device, you can do the following: Move the linkpointer to the next ZSB and leave the zone with the default passwords. Boot-ROM will unsecure this device while booting.
