TMS320F28234: XDS510 emulator issue

Part Number: TMS320F28234

Hi,

I am using ccs version 8.3.1 and emulator XDS510 usb for a custom board with F28234. The setup was working fine previously but now it is showing emulator rest error and when test connection in target configuration is checked following error is showing.

Execute the command:

%ccs_base%/emulation/drivers/sdjtag.exe -f %boarddatafile% -v -X reset -X scantest

[Result]

** BoardFilePath: C:\Users\PEG145D\AppData\Local\TEXASI~1\CCS\ti\0\0\BrdDat\testBoard.dat
** Resetting Emulator
ERROR -- XDS510USB Reset Failed
ERROR -- Check power to your emulator/eZdsp
ERROR -- Then check your port address

[End: Spectrum Digital XDS510USB Emulator_0]

I tried different Emulator but same issue. I have tried SDconfigX but showing same error. Checked JTAG voltage levels which is ok. What may be the issue?

Regards,

Nandu

Please note that this is an old and unsupported environment. I assume you are using a Spectrum Digital XDS510USB. These debug probes are typically produced and supported by Spectrum Digital. Unfortunately they are no longer in business.

Based on the error, it looks like there is some communication issue between the PC and XDS510 probe. Check to see the same probe will work on a different PC. You may want to try reinstalling the driver package. Unfortunately I will not be able to provide much further assistance on this as it is beyond my area of expertise.
