Is it possible to use a carbon film resistor, e.g. 0.2 Ohm 1W for a max. current of 1.9 A as stated in data sheet? It appears that metal film resistors (below 1 ohm) are inductive in nature.
Thanks,

Hi Sudhir,

It is okay to use a carbon fil resistor as long as the power rating is sufficient. In this case, the I2R losses will be 0.722W which is less than 1W.
