ISO5451: ISO5451 gate driver can be used as one to one replacement for 1ED020I12-F2

Part Number: ISO5451

I am using gate driver 1ED020I12-F2 Infineon make and IGBT is FP35R12KT4

I want to replace 1ED020I12-F2 with ISO5451 but the concerns are as follows.

Min voltage required to operate ISO5451 is minimum 15 V and typical or nominal voltage is not mentioned 

absolute maximum Vgs of IGBT  FP35R12KT4 is +\- 20V.

Is it advisable to use ISO5451 instead of  1ED020I12-F2 one to one.

Min voltage required to operate 1ED020I12-F2 is 13 V and my current design smps output is 15V.

Please find the attached screenshots for the same.

Kindly suggest.

    We have speced UVLO in the same way as the Infineon Part.

    This is on page 9 of the datasheet.

    The part will work down to 12V before UVLO (typ), which is virtually identical to the infineon part, so I don't really understand the concern?

    You do not want to be operating your IGBT near 12V, this is a protection / safety mechanism useful during cold starts and brownout/failure of power supply.

    Yes. Key difference is our part has a higher pulldown current rating which is a good thing.  so you may have to change the gate resistor a little bit to achieve the exact same turn-on / turn-off characterestics but this is basically true between any 2 parts.

    Perfect. Switching to ISO5451 will not affect your isolated power supply design at all, that can be used the same for both parts.
