Posted here at the direction of TI Technical Support - verbatim from my service request to them:
On page 7, in 7.5 Electrical Characteristics, the value for Hysteresis Accuracy is shown as +/- 1.5%. Is that % of hysteresis value, or the variation in the hysteresis value in %? In other words, for a 2% hysteresis, is the tolerance variation +/-1.5% of that, resulting in a range from 1.97% to 2.03%, or is the tolerance variation +/- 1.5 around the center of 2%, which would be a range of 0.5% to 3.5% hysteresis?
I'll have to say the datasheet for this part is not up to the standard I expect from TI.
Yes, normally TI is good about showing some example application schematics, at least one basic one that covers all the supporting Rs and Cs by name, and referencing those by name in the calculations.
As well as better clarity in the electrical specs.
Any chance I could get an answer today? I really need it now - today is my day to do circuit design calculations, so I can begin schematic capture next week, as well as dive into testing with my TPS3760 dev board.
