Please give me a part number from the below list , which will be easy to design.

we have very little R&D time,

I need an IC with all reference documents , a 3S 10 Amp Reference Design.

It was urgent. need a proven design , can be accessed easily.

    Hello Twisha,

    If you have a system load I recommend BQ24610, If you do not have a system load I recommend BQ24650.

    These chargers are buck topology the input voltage has to be higher than the maximum battery voltage. TI recommends an input voltage of at least 1.5 V to 2 V higher than the battery voltage, taking into consideration the DC losses in the high-side FET (Rdson), inductor (DCR), and input sense resistor (between ACP and ACN), the body diode drop of RBFET between VCC and input power supply, and battery sense resistor (between SRP and SRN).

    I don't have any system load , i will only use these for battery charger, May I know why you recommend BQ24650.

    Is there any specific reason, I need to charge 3S li-ion battery? in less time.,

    i just want to understand about the recommundation.

    Hello Twisha,

    BQ24703/BQ24704- These are older parts, so they're more difficult to support if a issue occurs

    BQ24753A/BQ24610/616/617/618- These all have a direct power path for system load, if you do not have a system load, this feature is not necessary..

    BQ24600/BQ24650- Both the BQ24600 and BQ24650 don't have a direct power path, I would recommend either of these. The BQ24650 is newer, so this is why I recommended this part.

    All of these chargers should work in your system, However, I think the BQ24650 is more suitable for your system.

    Q1: Will it work with a standalone input of 24 volts, 5 amps? for 3s–8Amp battery charge current.

    Q2: What is the wattage of the resistor and the current of the inductor that we need to use for the 8Amp output?

      Wattage was not mentioned anywhere, and how can it be calculated?

    Q3. What is CE, and where does it need to be connected?

    .

    Please give us a response, the main important was the wattage of the sensing resistor.

    Yes, it will work with a standalone input of 24V/5A.

    For the inductor I recommend going based off the charge current, since you are using 8A, I recommend using an 8A or higher inductor.

    For the resistor, I don't think we have a calculation, but I recommend using 0.5W-1W. I've seen similar battery chargers with this power rating at high currents with no issues.

    CE is charge enable, This is used on the BQ24650 EVM to disable charging, this is not required. We use a jumper to enable and disable charging.
