UCC27201A: Could you please provide the max and min value of "Minimum input pulse width that changes the output" ?

Part Number: UCC27201A

Hi team,

As below datasheet shows the "Minimum input pulse width that changes the output". Could you please help provide the max and min value of this parameter? Thanks a lot.

Wilson

  • Hello Wilson,
I reviewed and found bench characterization testing which I can comment on typical values for the minimum pulse width that generates an output.
Since we do not test the minimum value of this parameter in production, I cannot state what the worst case minimum value will be.
Bench testing confirmed that the minimum pulse that generates the driver output is 10ns, this test data was collected with VDD=10V, which is close to many applications VDD level.
Please confirm if this answers your question, or you can ask for additional information on this thread.

  • Thank you, Richard, you answer helps me a lot. More questions need you warm support.

In my customer' application, the Vin varies in a large range and may reach the minimum input pulse width. So they want to know this parameter and then, limit the PWM in software level.

So to simplify my question, could you please provide:

    1. The min high-level  width of input that could change output;

    2. The min low-level width of input that could change output.

My customer will limit the min on time and min off time in software through above two parameters, in their Solar optimizer.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best Regards!!!

    Wilson

  • Hello Wilson,

For the minimum width high level transition and low level transition, the response is typically the same for high going signal and low going signals which is 10ns based on bench testing. For settings to guarantee operation we recommend the datasheet specification which is  50ns.

Let us know if this answers your question, or you can post additional questions on this thread.
